Dorothy Ann Lyons, age 91, of Lilburn, Georgia and formerly of Delaware died Sunday evening, October 10, 2004 at New London Health Care Facility in Snellville, GA.

She was born on October 17, 1912 in Delaware to the late George “Bun” and Bertha (Buchmann) Parker. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mt. St. Joseph in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dorothy had been a lifelong Delaware are resident until 1996, when she moved to Lilburn, Georgia to be with her daughter. She was a homemaker and member of St. Mary Church. She enjoyed watching Ohio State Buckeyes football and reading.

She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law: Ann & Don Frintner of Lilburn, GA, Son: Bernard “Barney” Lyons and his fiance’ Debra Bibey of Marietta, Ohio, Grandchildren: Michael Frintner and Keri Childers, Great-Grandchildren: Vivian and Rebekah Frintner, Mickey Ballor, and Jacob & Justin Parker Childers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years: Bernard A. “Bus” Lyons on March 13, 1978, they were married August 25, 1937, Brother: Dr. James G. Parker, and Sister-in-law: Harriett Strohm Parker.

A time of gathering for friends and family will begin Friday at 9:00 a.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Delaware. A memorial mass will follow Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Father Kevin Kavanagh Celebrant. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery.
