Dorothea McCollough Johnson, 76, formerly of Fairmoor Road, Columbus, Ohio died Friday, August 27, 2004 in the Mifflin Care Center.

She was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 4, 1928, the daughter of the late Homer and Huldah (Grosse) McCollough. She graduated from Columbus South High School and The Ohio State University. Dorothea worked as an information specialist for 25 years for Battelle Memorial Institute until retiring. She had been a member of Trinity and St. John Lutheran Churches and the OSU Alumni Association. She loved to travel and surf the internet.

She is survived by two sons Daniel G. (Molly) Johnson and Thomas (Claire) Johnson all of Mount Gilead, Ohio; two grandchildren Jessie Johnson and Kaitlyn Shuman; a brother Robert McCollough and a nephew Ronald McCollough both of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Her husband Robert W. Johnson, whom she married June 17, 1955, preceded her in death in January of 1982. A sister-in-law Eileen McCollough also preceded her in death.

Daniel G. Johnson will conduct graveside services on Tuesday, August 31 at 1 p.m. in Greenlawn Cemetery in Columbus. Arrangements are in care of the Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Gilead. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.snyderfuneralhomes.com.
