Doris Marie (Kintz) Bachelor, 84 years of age, went home to heaven on Monday morning October 13, 2008 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Doris was born October 22, 1923 and was a graduate of Alexandria High School in 1941. She and devoted husband Harold (“Bach”) raised two wonderful daughters and enjoyed water skiing, traveling, serving others, and spoiling grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were active at Peace United Methodist Church in Columbus, the Still Going Strong Club in Westerville, and Country Music Fellowship Organization in Newark, Ohio.

Preceded in death by precious daughter Karen (Bachelor) Pierson; mother and father Mary and Jesse Kintz; sister Ruth Zapos; and brothers Tom and James Kintz.

Survived by loving husband of 65 years Harold; sister Wanda Prince of Newark; sister Clara Cramer of Granville; brother Richard Kintz of St. Louisville; daughter Luanne Puckett (Westerville); granddaughter Kristin (Daniel) Pike of San Antonio, TX; grandson David Puckett of Westerville; son-in-law Bob (Linda) Pierson of Westerville; grandson Brian (Meghan) Pierson of Westerville; grandson Greg (Janet) Pierson of Hilliard; and grandson Shawn Pierson of Worthington; Susan (Eric) Mason of Sunbury; Rozlin Stepp of Delaware; great-grandchildren Courtney, Andrew, Caitlin, Emily, Hunter, Jake, Ezekiel, Doug Jr. and Anna; and beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A special thanks for wonderful care to Dr. Christine Adamcak and her entire staff.

Friends may call 2:00–4:00 and 6:00-8:00pm on Wednesday at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR’s 3 at 61, Sunbury, where funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, with Pastor Wayne Booth officiating, interment Burnside Cemetery.
