Doris E. Hartman Phillips, (Mrs. Loften), 92, of Wedgewood Estates, Mansfield, OH, went home to be with her Lord on June 23, 2014. She was a longtime resident of Naples, FL until 1989. She and Loften moved to a farm in eastern OH and later built a home in southern Delaware County. She moved to Mansfield OH after Loften’s death to be near her step-son, Lowell Phillips.
Doris was born in Maxwell, Iowa September 2, 1921 to parents, Tillie and Robert Smith. She is survived by one sister Juanita Taylor of Mountain Grove, Missouri, step-son Lowell Phillips and wife Sarah of Lexington, OH, step-son Gordon Phillips and wife Amy, of Norwalk, CT, step-daughter Karen Phillips Barr and husband Bill, of Blowing Rock, NC. Also, surviving are step-daughter Karen Garrard of Warsaw, IN and step-son Jan Hartman of NY, and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren around the world. She was preceded in death by husbands John Bousselaire, Luther Hartman, and Loften Phillips and two sisters, Mabel McGowen and Virginia Elliott.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Mansfield Faith Assembly, 2727 Lexington Ave., Lexington, OH.
