Doris B. Roseberry, 91, of Galion passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Carlisle House in Bucyrus.

She was born May 19, 1929 in Ross County, Ohio and was the daughter of Basil Rex and Myrtle (Newman) Bolles. Doris married John M. “Jack” Roseberry on December 24, 1950 and he preceded her in death after nearly 70 years of marriage on December 13, 2020.

She graduated from Southeastern High School in Richmond Dale, Ohio and continued her education at Ohio University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. Doris was a music teacher for two years at Mechanicsburg Public Schools, one year at Bucyrus Public Schools and 17 years at Colonel Crawford Local Schools from where she retired.

Doris was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Galion where she was the former choir director, and a member of the Ohio Retired Teachers Association.

Doris is survived by three sons, Mark M. (Colleen) Roseberry of Galion, Neil F. (Carrie) Roseberry of Macedonia, Ohio and Christopher A. (Sara) Roseberry of Snowmass, Colo.; nine grandchildren, Jeremy (Carin) Roseberry, Rachel (Jordan Corwin) Roseberry, Anna Roseberry, David Roseberry, Sarah (Jonathan) Lytle, Michael (Allyson) Roseberry, Alexandra Roseberry, Jackson Roseberry and Lucas Roseberry, five great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Barbara Roseberry of Strongsville and a sister-in-law, Shirley Roseberry of Centerville.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, John Roseberry; grandson Joshua Roseberry and a brother Ernest Bolles.

A joint service for both Doris and Jack will be held at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 746 Cherry Street, Galion, Ohio  44833 on July 31, 2021, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the service to start at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ash Welch officiating .

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.

    passed away just two months after Jack. She sang at my
    husband (deceased 2016) and I wedding two months
    before she and Jack were married. He graduated from
    Southeastern school with Doris. My sincere condolences
