Donald Lee Sapp Jr., age 50 of Danville died on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the Kobacker House in Columbus following a courageous battle with declining health. He was born on October 23, 1965 in Mount Vernon to Donald L. Sapp Sr. and the late Norma Jean (Smarr) Sapp Ray.

Donald enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Donald is survived by his wife, Dianne (Hogle) Sapp; daughter, Alisha (Andy Marsell) Sapp of Mount Vernon; grandson, Tyler Marsell of Mount Vernon; his father, Donald of Danville; his adopted parents, Noah and Drema Thomas of Mount Vernon; sister, Cindy (Steve) Cline of Mount Vernon, Donna Sapp of Mount Vernon, Penny Ann Burns of Tiffin and Lisa Jo Saldana of Mount Vernon ; special nephew, Kayden Cline of Mount Vernon; special cousin, Rick Yeatman of Mount Vernon; and special friend, Joel Stachler.

In addition to his mother, Donald is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Neveah Marsell; sister, Barbara Brooks; and all of his grandparents.

In following with Donald’s wish there will not be any services, he would like everyone to take a moment and remember the happy times they shared together.
