Donald E. “Don” Williams, age 80 of Columbus passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 at Centerburg Pointe.

He was born April 11, 1936 in Columbus to the late Vaughn and Florence (Norman) Williams.  A diesel mechanic by trade, he owned and operated D & W Truck Service, and retired from N & W Garage.  Don was a former Moose Lodge member, who enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, and was an avid fan of all sports.

Loving and strong willed, he was considered a best buddy to many.  He also enjoyed motorcycles, especially his Harley Davidson 1973 Electra Glide.  Don was happiest with a wrench in hand working on diesel engines or spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving family including: Christina Simmons of Columbus, Rick (Dru) Williams of Sunbury and Barbara Williams-Brown of Columbus as well as grandchildren Russell (Jenni), Johnny (Brenna) and Sarah, 5 great-grandchildren, sister Garnett Trafzer, and many other family members.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

A Celebration of Life Service, followed by lunch, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Vans Valley Community Church located at 14440 East State Route 37, Sunbury, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to his family to assist with final expenses.
