Donald E. McManaway, age 47, of Mount Vernon, OH, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017 as the result of a motor vehicle accident. He was born on July 24, 1970 to Donald D. and Shirley (Fawcett) McManaway.

Donald worked and loved being part of construction.  He worked for Green Solutions in Columbus for many years.  Lately he was employed at Danville Tire as a mechanic.  Donald graduated from the Knox County Career Center in 1989. He was a huge NASCAR fan a loved cheering for his favorite driver, Tony Stewart.  He enjoyed camping with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Laurie (Matthews) McManaway; parents; a sister, Lori (Allen) Gallion, nephews and nieces, Scott, Brittany, and Cole Zollars; great-nephew and nieces, Jazlynn Lewis, Janessa Twininng, and Caden Zollars; 4 brothers in law, Larry Matthews, Tony (Angie) Matthews, Tom (Stacey) Matthews and David Matthews.

A gathering will take place on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home; 619 E. High St. Mount Vernon, OH, 43050, where a Celebration of Life service will take place on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Minister Matt McManaway officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
