Donald “Butch” Allen

Butch Allen loved classic cars. At one time he had a

collection of 21 vehicles, with models spanning from

1928 to 1979. He was especially fond of 1960s Ford

Thunderbirds, proudly collecting one from each model

year.

Though he loved classic cars, he loved the

people in his life more. His kindness and generosity

led him to help anybody. A man of great loyalty and

devotion, Butch passed away Friday September 2, 2011.

He was 72.

He was born January 5, 1939 in Johnsville to

Russell M. and Glea A. (Baker) Allen.

A former member of Carpenters Union Local

#735, in 1992 he and his sons formed Triple AAA

Interiors, their own construction company specializing

in interior systems. He retired in 2001.

Butch was a member of Crestline Eagles #859,

Crestline VFW Post #2920, Lexington VFW Post #5101 and

the Galion Moose.

He is survived by his sons and a daughter-in-

law David & Lana Allen of Mansfield and Jeffrey Allen

of Mansfield; his daughter and son-in-law Pamela & John

Trumpower of Lexington; grandchildren Shandra Allen of

Pensacola, FL, Cassandra Allen and Emilie Allen both

of Mansfield, Keshia Allen and Janae Trumpower both of

Lexington; great grandchildren Kierslyn Allen and John

Taylor, II; his sister Helen Jordan of Mansfield; a

sister-in-law Edna Allen of Johnsville; cherished

friends Shirley & Lloyd Feick of Ontario; and nieces

and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter

Hailey Trumpower, brothers Gale William Allen, Howard

Gene Allen and Carl Norman Allen, and a brother-in-law

Glenn Jordan.

The Allen family will receive friends Monday,

September 5, 2011 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Lexington

Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. Visiting continues Tuesday

from 11 a.m. To 1 p.m. in the funeral home, where his

funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m.

Pastor Ron Biddle will officiate. Burial will follow in

Shauck Cemetery.
