Don Edward Zuercher

May 26, 1960 ‒ July 13, 2018

Lexington, Ohio

LEXINGTON: Don Edward Zuercher went to be with the Lord Friday morning, July 13, 2018 in OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. He was 58.

He was born May 26, 1960 in Mansfield to parents Edward & Maureen Zuercher. After he was graduated from Orrville High School with the class of 1978, he attended the University of Akron for engineering before being offered a job with CMP Corporation. On December 10, 1988 he married Kecia Burdine.

Don was very good at his job. Whether he was hard at work as an engineer or a salesman he took pride in his work. He traveled a lot for his job taking trips to Japan, Mexico and Costa Rica just to name a few. He also made it a point to take his wife with him on these trips when he could.

In younger years Don enjoyed wrestling and playing baseball. More recently he enjoyed playing golf with his dad and his son. He also enjoyed playing euchre and would make risky calls to try to take tricks. His favorite car was his 1967 Camaro convertible. No one was allowed to touch, much less drive his car.

He is survived by his loving wife Kecia Zuercher; daughter Valerie Zuercher and Jason Loyer of Lexington; son Shawn Zuercher of Lexington; granddaughter Autumn Snow; grandsons Collin Loyer and Carter Loyer; mother Maureen Zuercher of Orrville; mother-in-law Patricia Burton of Lexington; siblings Colleen & Allen Teague of Orrville, Kathy & Greg Johnson of Massillon, Patty & Tim Quill of Cincinnati, John & Deirdre Zuercher of Rocky River, and Rob & Mary Zuercher of Avon.

Don was preceded in death by daughter Melanie Zuercher in 2012; father Ed Zuercher; father-in-law Russell Burton.

The Zuercher family will receive friends Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 10 a.m. till 12 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home.
