Don D. Moore Sr., age 56, of Portsmouth, and previously of Huntington, West Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening, December 23, 2009, at his residence with his family by his side.

With his family meaning the world to him, Don loved whenever his family would get together. He especially cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren.

A man of deep faith, Don gave his heart and soul to the Lord.

He will be missed by his two sons: Don (Shirley) Jr. and Steven (Becky) Howard Moore, both of Marion; three grandchildren: Kayley, Maranda and Emily Moore; girlfriend, Corina Grey of Portsmouth, and her four sons that Don was a father figure for: Brandon Moore, Zach, Dereck, and Josh Grey; one brother, Ray (Marilyn) Moore of Marion; and four sisters: Ollie Bass, Mandy Dunn, Wanda Garey, and Diane (John) Jones, all of Marion.
