Dolores M. Weaver, age 92 of Marengo died Tuesday evening, July 29, 2008 in the Extended Care Facility of Morrow County Hospital.
She was born on May 14, 1916 in Columbus to the late Carl and Ruth (Raymond) Martin. A lifelong resident of Marengo had worked for Kilgore Manufacturing and Nestle’s Corporation, where she worked in the filling room. Dolores was a school bus driver for both the Marengo and Highland Schools for 25 years.
A longtime member of Fargo Wesleyan Church and member of Senior’s On Center, she enjoyed flower gardening around her home, reading medical books, and shopping. Fun loving, family time was most important to her, she especially enjoyed spending time with them during the holidays. Always dependable, she looked after the needs of her family and neighbors. A good mother and grandmother, who will be remembered for her cheerful smile.
Survived by her children: Albert (Zanie) of Marengo, Harley (Bertha) of Mt. Gilead, Johnny (Judy), Barbara (John) Coomes of Marengo, and Jack (Donna) Weaver of Mt. Gilead, 12 Grandchildren, and 27 Great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband of 47 years: Harley in 1981, son Dave in 2002, Twin Sister Dorothy Weaver Dudley, Brothers: Albert, Carl, and Adam Martin.
Friends may call Friday 4:00-8:00 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR’s 3 at 61, Sunbury. Funeral services will be Saturday 10:30 a.m. at Fargo Wesleyan Church with Pastor and Great-Nephew Chad Wilson officiating, interment to follow in Fargo Cemetery.
