Delphia A. Wilson, age 68, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She was born on December 10, 1949 in Flat Rock, Virginia the daughter of Claude and Lola (Compton) May. Delphia enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and playing games.

She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #760 of Mount Vernon.

Delphia is survived by her companion Garland Fletcher; her children, William Turbeville of Mount Vernon, Rick (Brenda Schadde) Turbeville of Howard, Cindy (Leonard) Rice of Mount Vernon and Jessie Turbeville of Mount Vernon; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; a brother, Ralph (Faye) May of Howard; two sisters, Betty Mullens of Danville and Jean Long of Newark.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Lorie Martin and a sister, Helen Vertrees.

Friends may call at the family home, 35 Marion Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 on Sunday, May 27, 2018 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Delphia A. Wilson.
