Della Marie Dailey, age 88, of Mount Gilead, Ohio, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 at Bennington Glen in Marengo, Ohio. She was born on April 2, 1926 in Beverly, Ohio the daughter of Lory and Mary (Ward) Barton. After graduating with perfect attendance for 12 years of schooling, Della worked with her father in the manufacturing of ice for businesses and farm homes. She also worked for Bair’s Dry Cleaning in Mount Vernon for over 30 years and owned and operated Dailey’s Army Surplus since 1960 with her late husband, Carl Dailey.

She is survived by two brothers, Ralph (Lucy) Barton of Coal Run, Ohio and Marion Barton of Chesterville and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carl R. Dailey.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, 33 E. College Street, Fredericktown, Ohio 43019. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, beginning at 11 a.m. in Beverly Cemetery.
