Deborah K. Rock, 58, was reunited with her father and mother, Allan H. and Mary K. (Griffith) Rock on August 31, 2019. She was born on October 4, 1960, the second of five children.

Debbie grew up in Fredericktown, showing cattle at the Knox County fair.  Debbie graduated from Fredericktown High School in 1979 and went on to graduate from Capitol University with her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.  After college Debbie worked as a travel nurse for several years before returning to Ohio, where she worked at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center for 28 years in the Surgical Intensive Care.

She is survived by her siblings, Byron (Jill) Rock, Glenda (Chuck) Blakely, Rodney (Tammy) Rock and Greg (Darla) Rock.  She was a very special aunt to 12 nieces and nephews; Nick (Elisa) Cline, Samantha (Tom) Rock, Katie (Jesse) McKenzie, Allyn (Carmen) Carfagna, Austin Rock, Serena Rock, Aaron (Nikki) Alfrey, Mark (Tina) VanHouten, Samantha (Scott) Mills, Tara (Seth) Mullins, Kenny (Amy) Scruggs and Katie Alfrey; along with 21 great nieces and nephews.  Debbie is also survived by a step-son, Trevor Gaddis.

Debbie enjoyed traveling with her best friends Cindy Dohn Schaefering and Joan Pritchard, but most of all, spending time with family and friends.  Debbie also is leaving behind her beloved Australian Shepard, Henry.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at the Fredericktown United Methodist Church, 123 Columbus Rd., Fredericktown, where a funeral service will be held at Noon on Monday, September 9, 2019 with Pastor Ruth Douglas officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday.  A private burial will take place at a later date.

Memorial contributions in Debbie’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

    No longer have a driver’s license because of memory loss. This has slowed me down, but have Lisa and friends see that i still get out and about!
