David Turner, age 69, of Fredericktown passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville.

He was born on October 17, 1948 in Mount Vernon to the late Dale and Evadean (Reed) Turner. David worked for 24 years at JB Foote Foundry and 27 years at Cooper Energy Services.  He was a volunteer at the Fredericktown Fire Department for over 27 years.  David enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, fishing, hunting and making his delicious turtle stew.  But most of all, he loved the time he spent with his family.

He is survived by his son Clint (Dana) Turner; and three grandchildren, Christian Huffman, Dyllon Huffman, and Jaylynn Burton.

There will be a celebration of life gathering on Saturday, June 23, 2018 beginning at 2PM at the Kokosing Lake Campground on Waterford Rd., Fredericktown.

    Dave was such a kind caring person, he helped my parents ( Dave and Marge Kelly) so many times, and he always looked out for them. He enjoyed walking and hunting around the pond and the outdoors. Dave will be missed in the neighborhood. You have my deepest sympathy.

My memory of David started in Jan 1978 when he delivered medicines, supplies and even took edelery to shelters during the blizzard as he was one of the few who had a lifted 4×4 and donated so many hours, fuel and equipment to protect, friends, neighbors and even strangers.
