David Regis Archibald, age 68, of Johnstown, formerly of Westerville, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at his home.  Retired recently from Delaware County Bank where he served as a Senior Vice President for 5 years.  Also, he worked at several other local banks during his 35-year career in banking.  In addition, he enjoyed working as a Senior Vice President at Ohio Dominican University for 10 years.

Dave was a member of Harlem Road United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday School and Alpha coursework.

Born February 5, 1952 in Salem, Ohio to the late Regis N. and Miriam R. (Pennell) Archibald.

Also preceded in death by his sister Deborah Orenic.

Survived by loving wife of 41 years of marriage, Karen S. (Renner) Archibald; sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen (Richard) Mitchell of Canfield, Ohio, Chris (Dean) Morrison of East Palestine, Ohio; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike (Missy) Archibald of Westin, FL; Paul (Cindy) Archibald of East Palestine, Ohio; and many loving nieces and nephews whom he adored.

Private family only service and interment.  A Celebration of Life Service will take place at a later date.

  • Karen, I want you to know how deeply sorry I am to hear about Dave’s unexpected passing! I will always fondly remember him for his (both of yours) kindness to Jimmy (Dayton, my late husband)! I have big rocks from your home that you gave him around the three trees in my backyard. I will think of Dave and pray for you every time I look at them. I pray God’s unexplainable peace surrounds you now and in the future! I know the pain of losing your husband unexpectedly!
