David L. “Spider” Milligan, age 42 of Delaware died unexpectedly early Thursday morning, January 29, 2009 in the emergency room of Grady Memorial Hospital.
He was born on July 1, 1966 in Elgin, Illinois and moved to Delaware in 1999.
David had worked in the construction trade for various builders in Ohio and Illinois. He could build a house from the bottom up and took great pride in his craftsmanship. He earned the nickname “Spider” from his fearlessness of heights. One who loved working with his hands and being creative.
He enjoyed all types of music; collected eagles and loved birds. Free spirited, with a strong work ethic, he will be remembered for his love of family.
Survived by his companion of 20 years and wife of 2 years: Rhonda (Lesak) Milligan, her children: Robert, Spencer, Jennifer Lesak of IL, Grandchildren: Jadon, Avalynn, Mother: Kay Milligan-Prince of Delaware, Father and Step-Mother: Harold and Lorraine Milligan of St. Louis, MO, Sister: Laura Holcomb of Senecaville,
Niece: Alexandra Milligan, Maternal Grandmother: Blanche Bittinger and best friends: Gary and Tracy Blair.
Friends may call Sunday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. (SR 36) Delaware, where services will follow at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Al Perry officiating.
