David L. Garrabrant

David L. Garrabrant, age 50 of Westerville died Monday afternoon, November 26, 2007 at St. Ann’s Hospital.
He was born on January 18, 1957 in Columbus to the late James W. and Barbara L. (Orahood) Garrabrant. Dave graduated from Brookhaven High School in 1975 and had been a Westerville resident for the past 30 years. He worked as a courier for Emery Worldwide.
An aspiring drummer, he held a passion for music. He wrote music, poetry and placed rhythm to the songs of his friends. A generous person with a sense of humor and a big heart, he was a collector of everything. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and attended the Peace United Methodist Church.
Dave was a loving father, whose greatest joy came from his daughter; Grace of Mansfield, he is also survived by former wife Teri Scott, Step-children Amanda and Kirk Wilson of Mansfield, brother Steven (Sharon) Garrabrant of Marysville, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and a host of friends and fellow musicians.
Also preceded in death by those of great influence on his life, grandparents; Dale and Grace Garrabrant, and Esther Orahood.
Friends may call one hour before the 3:00 p.m. Saturday memorial services at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR’s 3 at 61, Sunbury, with Pastor John Girard officiating. Burial will follow in Fancher Cemetery.
