  • A wonderfu, caring , compassionate hardworking neighbor and friend. He will be missed.

  • Ann and I extend our condolences to Karen, Brad, Julie and Ava. Your passing awakes my heartfelt memories of the guy who stood at my side as Ann and I were married just a few days before your birthday in 1964. In our youth there was plowing, haying, milking, planting trees, sharing rides in your convertible, and other adventures. I’m blessed to have experienced at your side, a taste of the hard work that is farming, and in later years to have observed your dedication to family and profession that was your life. You lived it well. You are greatly missed.

  • Karen and family, I am so sorry to hear of Davids death. He was a great husband, son, and father. I loved that he was a farmer and Karen became one as well. It so reminded me of my youth and the farm. Karen you were a great devoted wife and mother and partner in the farm and I so respect all you have done for and with Dave. I loved you both. I will be home to Ohio this week, so I will see you at the church.

  • It will seem unusual to not see David at church each Sunday. David and Karen have stood together as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. They have lovingly assisted people in the church and those who are not affiliated with Galena United Methodist. I will miss David’s smile, laughter and good sense of humor. Although my present health will not allow me to attend visitation or the funeral, may the family and his sister, Jane, please accept my deepest condolences.

  • Karen and Brad,

Sorry to hear of Dave’s passing, prayers to you and your family.
