David E. Foti, 53, of 750 Maple, Mansfield, died Saturday, March 26, 2005 at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital, Coshocton, after an apparent heart attack.

Born March 3, 1952 in Galion, he was the son of the late Ernest Foti and Mary Farina Foti who survives him in Galion.

He was a 1970 graduate of Galion High School.

Dave enjoyed the sport of boxing and was a boxing coach, teacher and mentor to many area youth and adults, both amateur and professional. He was currently training local professional boxer, Joey Rayburn. He formerly coached amateur boxer, Jay Smith. He also liked fishing and bachelorhood.

Surviving are one son, Adam and his wife Lisa of Centerburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Judi and Rich Herrmann; two brothers, Dominick Foti and Sam Foti and his wife Barb, all of Galion; five nephews and nieces, Kenneth Foti, Annie Modine, Sal Foti, Connie Cassady and Rich Herrmann.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2005 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, with memories shared by family and friends. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
