David D. Zolman

David D. Zolman, 62, of Fredericktown, OH passed away, unexpectedly, on Friday, Oct. 3, 2008 in the emergency room at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH.

He was born on July 22, 1946, in Coshocton, OH, a son of the late Charles “Jim” Zolman and Gladys (Wood) Zolman Crown. He spent most of his life as a resident of Knox County.

David was a Marine Reserve Veteran of the Vietnam Era, and before retirement, he worked for the City of Mount Vernon. He enjoyed visiting with his children, nature and the outdoors, working on cars, and his animals.

David is survived by his children, Jody Zolman of Heidelberg, Germany and Justin (Amanda) Zolman of Delaware; brothers, Charles Zolman of Lexington, Dennis (Sharon) Zolman of Mount Vernon, and step brother, Ric (Rebecca) Crown of Travelers Rest, South Carolina.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his stepfather, Melvin Crown; and a brother, Jeffrey L. Zolman.

A memorial service will be held Thursday at the Mount Vernon Baptist Temple. Friends and family are welcome at 3:30 p.m., and the service will begin at 4:00p.m.
