David B. Foster, age 50 of Delaware died Thursday afternoon, August 2, 2001 at St. Angela Nursing Home, Columbus following a 4 year illness.

He was born on Sept. 21, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Eugene F. Foster and Ruth Ann Wheeler Foster, who survives in Delaware. He became a resident of Delaware in 1967. David was a disabled US Veteran of Vietnam, serving in the US Navy. He had worked as a chemist and lab technician. Attended Zion AME Church, Delaware, was a member of AM Vets and the former White Sulfur Masonic Lodge.

Survived by his Mother: Ruth Ann Wheeler Foster of Delaware, Son: David Christian of Cincinnati, Sister: Jeanne Marie Rister of Columbus, Niece: Pamela McPherson-Steward of Columbus, Nephews: Shelby McPherson of Seattle, WA, Blair & Max McPherson of Delaware.

Preceded in death by his father: Eugene F. Foster in 1957.

Friends may call Sunday 2-5 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., SR 36, Delaware, where funeral services will be held Monday 2:00 p.m., Rev. Harold Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Veterans section of Oak Grove Cemetery, with military honors provided by the Delaware County Veterans Assoc.
