David Allen Eastburn, 52, of Delaware, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the Kobacher House, Columbus.

David was born on March 4, 1964 in Marion, Indiana to Allen R. and Janet May (Keith) Eastburn.  He was a 1982 Graduate of Madison Grant High School in Summitville, Indiana.  In 1983, David enlisted in the U.S. Navy, and had served during the Cold War aboard the U.S.S. ROARK Battleship, where he was positioned on the flight deck.  During his time in the service, he sailed to many countries, including Australia, Japan, Korea,  and to the Phillipines and Pearl Harbor.  In 1987, after his discharge from the Navy, David moved to Delaware.  He had been employed by the former Nippert Co., now known as Sam Dong Co.,in Delaware, for 29 years, as a casting operator.  David had a passionate love for Harley’s and Muscle Cars, and especially a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am.  He also cherished  the time that he spent with his family.

He is survived by two sons- Derek A. Eastburn of Delaware and Zachary B. Eastburn of Columbus; one daughter- Lindsey N. (Michael) Mace of West Virginia; parents- Allen R. and Janet May (Keith) Eastburn of Fairmount, IN;  one granddaughter- Brylee Cecil; one brother- Marlin (Debbie H.) Eastburn of Gas City, IN; one sister- Janene Eastburn of Columbus; nieces and nephews- Cameron Lewis, Gary Lewis, Nathaniel Lewis, Ross Lewis, Allen Eastburn, Shelby Eastburn and Hannah Eastburn.

A Celebration of David’s life will be held at 12:30 p.m., on Saturday, July 16, 2016, in the Summitville Community Building, 102 East Walnut Street, Summitville, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Kobacher House, 800 McConnell Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43214.
