David A. Ward, 61, of Galion, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 at home unexpectedly.
Born June 11, 1949 in Galion, he was the son of the late Cloyd Ward and Vesta Hardy Ward.
He attended Galion High School and was confirmed at the First United Church of Christ in Galion. He was a member of the Galion Eagles Aerie 630. He collected Coca Cola memorabilia, was an excellent bowler, loved to watch the Wheel of Fortune and the Price Is Right and had a great sense of humor. David previously worked at the former ITT North Electric in Galion, Eagle Crusher, V.F.W. 4329 in Galion and last worked for 20 years at Eagles Aerie 630 in Galion where he retired after 20 years due to his health.
He is survived by his long time companion with whom he made his home with, Annetta Glenn; three sisters and one brother-in-law and a brother and sister-in-law, Connie Goodman of Upper Sandusky, Ronald and Bonnie Ward of Columbus, Vicky and John Clinger of Upper Sandusky and Karen Seevers of Georgetown, Ky.; two nieces, Lori Feightner and Lisa Rodriguez and
two nephews, Phillip and Steven Karg.
He was preceded in death by two nephews, Anthony and Michael Seevers.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010 with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
