Darrell T. Swisher, age 39 of Ashley passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Riverside Hospital following a short illness.

He was born on January 29, 1979 at Grady Hospital to Steven and Mary Jane (Coffee) Swisher of Ashley. Darrell was a 1997 graduate of Buckeye Valley High School and Delaware Area Career Center, participating in the automotive program.

He worked with his cousin, Eric Coffee as a mechanic at Coffee’s Custom Services. An avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Ohio State Buckeye’s, he also enjoyed a passion for fishing. Forever respectful and loving to his parents and family, he was generous with his time, always willing to lend a helping hand. Darrell was known as DT, Poppa Bear, Daddy, My Dad, Dad, Pops/Old Man, Papa, Grandpa, to his treasured children and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his caring ways and love of family.

In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his loving wife Tonya (Fitzgerald), sister Mitzi Swisher (Will) of Columbus children: Emma Swisher (Fiancé Allan) of Panama City, FL, Brandon Jones of Ashley, Jordyn (Schuyler) VanBrimmer of Ostrander, Mason Coffee of Richwood, Bryce Decker of Delaware, Kristen Frizzell of Columbus, grandchildren: Julian, Grayson, Elena, parents-in-law: Steve and Jody Cameron of Columbus, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and canines: Cheech and Pablo .

He was preceded in death by his grandparents as well as an aunt and uncle.

A memorial gathering of friends and family will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Dr. at W. William St., Delaware, Ohio 43015.
