Darla Kay Jurden, 44, of Sunbury passed away unexpectedly early Saturday morning July 14, 2012 at St. Ann’s Hospital, Westerville.
She was born November 20, 1967 in Newark to Richard Jurden and Della (Kean) Seymour. She was a graduate of Delaware Hayes High School and worked at Dollar General. She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Sunbury where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed fishing and camping and loved the Pittsburgh Steelers. She also loved family get-togethers and spending time with her children and granddaughter.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Della (Dale) Seymour of Heath; son, Aaron of Sunbury; daughters, Kali Hilyard (fiance’ Adam Reynolds) of Whitehall and Tiffani Hilyard of Sunbury; granddaughter, Skylar Reynolds; fiance’, David Cook of Westerville; stepsons, Nick Cook of Roxboro, NC and Zach Cook of Heath; brothers, David (Marilou) Jurden of Hemet, CA, Dan (Ann) Jurden of Brenham, TX, and Doug (Wendy) Jurden of Delaware; sister, Deanna Jurden of Sunbury; stepbrother, Andy (Melody) Seymour of Lincolnton, NC; 2 special step-cousins, Michelle and Sam Faiella of Sunbury; 10 nieces, 5 nephews, 2 great nephews, and 1 great niece.
She was preceded in death by her father Richard Jurden.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday July 20th at 10:00 am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 9633 St. Rt. 37E, Sunbury with Rev. Fr. David Sizemore officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the mass. Burial will be later at St. Joseph Cemetery in Newark.
