  • Daniel was a light in the world! His many friends at Creative Foundations will always keep Daniel in our hearts! We spent so many great times with Daniel including the Broadway Theater, lots of time in the Short North with his many friends at Union Cafe, parties at Creative Foundations and many friends of CF’s home, with our families, and of course, his BEST FRIEND in the world, Brad. One of the BEST memories is our front row seats at Idina Menzel when she came out – seeing you and Brad – and letting you all sing with her! Daniel also had a very strong social media following which he loved and the many friends he was able to meet from around the country! We love you Daniel and you will never be forgotten! Your legacy will last forever! #IHaveBeenChangedForGood. Sending love to all his family and friends!

    • David, if I get to meet you at the calling or funeral I would love to hear the story of singing with Idina!! You guys seem to have had some great times.

He would make me laugh even when I wanted to cry. He took care of his friends. He never judged for your mistakes. Daniel was the most beautify soul put on earth. I’m so thankful to have met him and cross paths. 8 years knowing Daniel wasn’t enough.

  • Daniel was an amazing light! I got to know Daniel over the past few years at union café! I feel lucky to have known him he always just wanted to be accepted for WHO HE WAS and I think he found that at union. He always felt welcome in loved. He was truly an amazing person and changed me forever❤️ He loved wicked and the song for good and it personified everything he was to me. He came in my life for a reason and taught me so much! Because I knew him I’ve been changed for the better❤️ Rest easy

  • From the first time I met Daniel he brightened up the room and handed out smiles like candy. Once we went to a musical and the best part was the trip home when He, Brad (his best friend) and my wife reenacted the entire musical in the car on the trip home. It is the memories like this I will miss the most with you Daniel. You will forever be remembered.

  • I will never forget Daniel. I met his after I performed in Ohio Valley Theater’s production of Hairspray. Daniel ran up to me and told me I was his favorite and we got a picture and I signed his program. He made me feel so special and his love and joy was SO contagious. I only met him once, but in just that one meeting I saw how pure and kind his heart was. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I send my deepest condolences and prayers to his family and friends. Thank you, Daniel for touching my heart. Rest In Peace.

  • I coached Daniel 2 summers for special Olympics volleyball and his personality and presence brightened the room as soon as he walked in.

  • Mike and Beth, words seem so trivial at a time like this, and yet they are the only way to express my condolences and relive the memories I hold in my heart. Daniel was such a delight; He was a bright spot every day. His genuine concern for others, love for people and willingness to be involved in his own learning was an inspiration to all around him. I am so privileged to have been his teacher at KCCC. We had many laughs, a few challenges, and many successes. My heart aches for you as you suffer this loss. I will praying for your family during this time and the days ahead. I will continue to celebrate his life with you.
    Blessings, Robin Stacy

  • I only knew Daniel from seeing him at Kroger. I enjoyed interacting with him while checking out. What a great smile he had. I didn’t realize he was so close to Katie Kozicki. My heart hurts for his family and dear friends.

  • Daniel…what a kind, loving, entertaining, creative blessing!! Our hearts are broken. My son Jesse was always encouraged and loved by him. He always made me feel so welcome when I stopped in to Lifebuilders. He was the hug professional!! He loved life so much and was always excited about the next thing. Even though Jesse is very sad about him being gone, he said he knows he’s in heaven having a nice time and he gets to see him again and still be friends some day. Daniel sure was a light in the lives of others and now heaven gets to be a happier place with him there. So grateful to God that Daniel was in Jesse’s and other’s lives. May God comfort his parents and siblings and friends and May they keep that blessed hope of someday seeing and being with him again and then, celebrating forever together. Daniel’s life ended here but, just began in a magnificent place. I bet he’s singing and dancing.

  • Holding you in my prayers as you mourn the loss of sweet Daniel. May he Rest In Peace. 🙏🏼🙏🏼😇😇

  • Dear Mike, Beth, Ben, Sarah, Amelia, and Colleen,
We cannot know what lies ahead
    From day to passing day,
    What changes God is planning
In His wise and loving way.
    We cannot know the reasons
He allows both joy and tears,
Why we must lose the precious ones
    We’ve cherished through the years.
We cannot know-but we can trust,
And faith can help us find
    Our way to those tomorrows
That will bring us peace of mind.

There are no words that are right for the loss y’all are feeling at this time. Daniel was always sweet, kind, loving, and a ray of sunshine.
