MANSFIELD: Daniel Apostolos, 75, died unexpectedly Monday evening, March 21, 2011 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital of a pulmonary embolism.

He was born June 13, 1935 in Warren, Ohio. From an early age he worked with his father in the family restaurant. His ethic of hard work continued all his life. He was a well-respected and loving husband and father. His two greatest joys were caring for his family and, as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, helping others learn of the wonderful promises that God has in store for obedient mankind.

Prior to his marriage to Patricia he began his employment with Ohio Edison, retiring after 33 years due to Multiple Sclerosis. He endured 35 years of illness, while at the same time leading a productive and rewarding life.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia, whom he married on March 12, 1955; five daughters Bonnie (Gary) McCready of Wilmington, NC, Pamela (Larry) Oyster of Bellville, Becky Apostolos, Debra Apostolos, and Amy (Matthew) Bombarger all of Mansfield; granddaughter Amber (Travis) Gillette of Leland, NC; great granddaughter Ava Mae Gillette of Leland, NC; two step grandchildren Amanda (Perry) Beam and Matthew Oyster; three step great grandchildren Hannah, Mason and Megan Beam.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Julia Apostolos; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Henry and Lydia Leyman; step mother Vina James.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 2pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1650 South Main Street, Mansfield, where the family will receive friends the hour prior from 1-2pm. The service will be conducted by Ken Kubasek.
