Crystal “Chris” Fassler, age 76 of Marion, passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 08, 2019.
Chris was born on March 15, 1942 in Marion, the daughter of Lloyd Curtis and Iola Marie (Runkle) Mahaffey. She graduated in the class of 1960 from Prospect High School.
Chris was a media and marketing guru. She spent many years at WMRN as their sales manager. She also worked for Howard Swink Advertising, Lord Sullivan Yoder Advertising, Marion Power Shovel, Tracy Locke, and Media Marketing Strategies. She loved her family and helped them along the way as she could. She enjoyed watching her granddaughter dance and would hand make her costumes. Chris was an enthusiastic fan of Elvis and was a collector of his memorabilia. She enjoyed visiting with people and you always knew where she landed on any given issue.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Curtis A. and Laura J. “Janey” Fassler, granddaughter and grand son-in-law Amanda N. and Reuben Blackburn; twin great grandchildren: Mason and Madison Blackburn; her brother Lloyd C. (Sharon) Mahaffey Jr. and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Chris is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 52 years, Donald Dwight Fassler
Visitation will be Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Snyder Funeral Home, DENZER Chapel 360 East Center St., Marion from 10AM to 12Noon; Funeral services will follow at 12Noon; Burial will be in the Grand Prairie Cemetery.
