Creta M. Reed, age 93, of Fredericktown passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the Country Club Retirement Center.

She was born on March 15, 1926 here in Knox County to the late Kenneth and Thelma (Fulton) Wise.  Creta was a member of the Fredericktown First Presbyterian Church, the Pythian Sisters Knox Temple #148 where she was the Most Excellent Chief, the Fredericktown Garden Club, the Mothers Club, and served as the Morris Twp. Clerk.  She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her lawn.  But most of all, Creta loved the time she spent with her family.

Creta is survived by her sons, John (Sandy) Reed, Kenneth (Debbie) Reed; her daughter Janice (Willard) Horn; four grandchildren, Shelly Bearden, Jessica Reed, Casey Reed,  Nichole Day; step-grandchildren Melissa Boyd and Brian Jose; and three great grandchildren, Aubri Bearden, Logan Reed, and Trinity Stockberger.

In addition to her parents, Creta was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur Reed; her grandson John Reed; her sister Helen Scarbrough; and her canine companion Stinkypoo.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 beginning at 1PM at Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown with Mr. Stan Ratliff officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Capital City Hospice.
