July 06, 1960 ‒ December 04, 2020

Mansfield, Ohio

Craig Steven Wright passed away on December 4th, 2020 at the age of 60. He is preceded in death by his mother and father Judith and Clyde Wright.

Craig is survived by his wife, Ruth Wright, his children Sara (Michael) Woogerd, Joshua Wright, Hannah Sheidlower, Veronika (Josh) Giddens, and Viktoria Miller, four grandchildren, Eden and Lilah Woogerd, Taylor and Tenley Giddens and two brothers, Rick Wright and Randy (Michele) Wright and niece, Kara Wright

Craig was a graduate of Lexington High School, class of 1979, and Franklin University with a degree in Engineering. Craig was a tinkerer, an inventor, and entrepreneur; always excited to fill his brain with details of the world around him. Craig owned and operated his engineering business ARC services (1990-2020), and helped with his family business Wrightway Packaging.

As a young man, Craig earned his pilot’s license and flew vintage airplanes- co-owned with his brothers. Craig volunteered for many years on Snow Trail’s Ski Patrol. He loved adventure, including sailing Lake Erie on his Catawba Island-based sail boat with his wife Ruth and their many friends. He enjoyed traveling to Germany with his wife to visit extended family on many occasions. Craig will be missed by many.

A private service will be held for close family members. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Richland County Harmony House – (124 W Third Street Mansfield, Ohio 44902)

Snyder Funeral Home will be assisting the family.

  • Our hearts are heavy to loose such a kind and loving friend. You will be missed terribly Craig. Sail on in Heaven my friend.

  • Craig – Our dock mate and friend of many sailing seasons. Our hearts are crushed. We will cherish the memory of sharing coffee on Sunday mornings and ringing in the New Year together. We love you and will miss you dearly. Fair winds and following seas my friend.

  • Hannah, We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and Prayers are with you and your entire family.

  • How sad to hear about the loss of Craig quite suddenly.
He always loved to come to Germany and we had many good times together.
May he find peace and happiness in his eternal home.
God knows and cares about his family and their feelings in this great loss.
We wish we could be there to console each other.
    Hugs Barbara and Günter

  • Over 30 years we’ve known each other, worked together, and spent many good times together. How do you summarize all that in a few small sentences on a small page. I can’t nor will I try. My dear friend Craig, thank-you for being my friend, for being you. Knowing you, you are excited and impatient to be on your way to the beginning of your eternal adventure. And just like our boating buddies Larry and Kenny that left before us, I wish you fair seas and cool breezes on your journeys. Until we meet again my friend…

  • We are so sad about the loss. We enjoyed the good times together in Germany when you visted us with Ruth. It was a pleasure to spend time with you having good conversations and drinking good beer. We`ll keep you in our minds. Rest in peace Craig!

  • Our family was so sorry to hear of Craig’s passing. I have very fond memories of him growing up. Hugs to all of you.
