Connie J. Sherman, 62, of Mount Vernon passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021 at the Country Court Nursing Center in Mount Vernon.  She was born on June 1, 1959 in Mount Vernon to the late Paul T. Frye Sr. and Dora M. (Lahmon) Frye.

Connie was a member of the Grove Church of Christ near Gambier and before declining in health was a Nurse’s Aide at Country Court.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Andrea S. Frye; sisters, Judy Wilson and Patty (Ralph) Bower; brothers, Thomas Frye and Paul (Jean) Frye Jr.; aunts, Mabel and Bob Melick and Loretta and John Griffith; niece and nephew, Casey and Garrett Via, Beth Frye and Matthew Frye; niece, Monique (fiancé, Sean Busholz) Wilson; Amy Miller and Matt Abney who were like family.

All these people have stuck by me through thick and thin. I would not have made it without them.  Love you all.

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Earl and Dorthy Lahmon; paternal grandparents, Andrew and Thelma Frye; and an aunt, Edna Lahmon.

The family will have a private graveside service in Union Grove Cemetery near Gambier.
