Colleen Kay Mories, age 68, of Howard, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 9, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 26, 1949 in Fort Dix, New Jersey to Dean Thompson and Mary (Bumpus) Bellaver.

Colleen was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She was loved by so many and will be missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her father; significant other, Samuel D. Mories I; children, Michael (Lori) Mills, Shawn Skelton, Rachel (Kevin Hughes) Mories, Samuel D.(Seravea) Mories II; 4 step children, 23 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ron Thompson, Buddy (Debby) Fickes, Kay (Dan) LeClair, Susan Yates; several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Bellaver and a sister, Laura Thompson.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 6:00 PM -10:00 PM at the Apple Valley Clubhouse; 3725 Apple Valley Dr, Howard, OH 43028 .

  • Bud, Samuel, and family- so sorry for Colleen’s passing. Many fond memories of our short time together. She was a good woman, and everyone whose life she touched is worse for her passing. Rest in Peace.

  • Rachel and family, there are no words to ease your pain. I wish I could say something that could do just that. I didn’t know Colleen that well but from the few times we saw each other, I knew she was a great person. She was kind, nice, funny and had a heart of gold. I just loved her smile and loved that she always greeted me with a hug.
    She will be missed by many. May she Rest In Peace. I’m so sorry for yours and your family’s loss. I will keep you all in my prayers.
