Clifford Coy, 64, of Delaware passed away Wednesday morning May 22, 2013 at the Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus.
He was born July 15, 1948 in Oxford, Ohio to Robert and Helen (Smith) Coy.
After graduating high school, he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy and later worked 30 years for Lance Inc. of Columbus. He also delivered the Columbus Dispatch for over 10 years. He loved his dogs, watering and taking care of his plants, and opening his pool every year for his kids and grandkids to enjoy.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Courtney (Chris Fout) Coy of Delaware and Brandy (Gary King) Skeens of Ashley; son, Scott (Brenda) Skeens of Ashley; grandchildren, Breanna and Garrison Bargdill, Hailey King, Dylan and Ava Fout, and Emily Baltzer; brother, Butch (Kathy) Coy of Indiana; sisters, Janine (Marty) Todd, Sherry Coy, and Terri Blanton, all of Oxford; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Connie Sue (Garrison) Coy in 2011.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 28th from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William Street at Valleyside Drive, Delaware. Celebration of Life Services will follow at 6:00 pm with Rev. Cindy Berkshire officiating and the Delaware County Veterans Association providing military honors.
