Clayton Frasher, age 90, of Mount Vernon died on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Knox Community Hospital. He was born on April 10, 1921 in Knox County, son of the late Robert and Mary (Styers) Frasher.
Clayton was a 1939 graduate of the former Amity High School and was a farmer in Knox County his entire life. He served his country in the Army during WWII. Clayton was a member of the Danville Church of Christ. He enjoyed hunting and the great outdoors.
Clayton is survived by his wife of over 66 years, Dorcas (Conrad) Frasher; a sister, Doris Jones of Mount Vernon; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Clayton was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Frasher; and sisters, Fern Kathary and Pauline Burch.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 East High St., Mount Vernon, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2011 with Ken Springer and Dennis Eggerton officiating. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery near Danville.
