Clark E. Rhodes

Clark E. Rhodes, 48, of Martel died Thursday night, November 27, 2008 at Triumph Hospital in Mansfield after a short illness.
He was born on August 8, 1960 in Covington, West Virginia the son of the late Clark A. and Georgia Mae (Staten) Rhodes.
After graduating from Union High School in Union, West Virginia, Clark enlisted in the United States Army. His service time was cut short with the unexpected death of his mother.
Clark has been a resident of Marion and its surrounding communities most of his life. He has held various factory jobs, most recently MOPAC in Marion, until a disability limited his ability to work.
On July 6, 1991 he married Connie D. Shuster. They have shared a unique bond and friendship of over 17 years.
Clark enjoyed fishing anywhere he could find a place to cast his reel.
He was quite a talker and very likable. Clark would give you the shirt off his back
He will be missed by his friend and partner Connie of Martel; children Roy L. and Jackie L. Rhodes both of home, Amber Fisher of Marion, Georgia Shockley of Lewisburg, West Virginia; step-daughter Mindy Seiter of Marion; 5 grandchildren; a brother Alvin Rhodes of Gastonia, North Carolina; sister Dovie Schultz of Alum Creek, West Virginia; special friend Bruce Johnson of Caledonia; numerous nieces and nephews; and the family dog, Alley.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandchild.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Snyder Funeral Homes of Mount Gilead have been entrusted with arrangements.
