Christopher Jacob Allen ‘CJ’ Thompson, age 30, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky after an extended battle with Huntingtons Disease.

CJ was born in Marion, Ohio on October 17, 1988 to Vernon Eugene Thompson and Elizabeth Ann Forman. CJ attended Oak Street Elementary School, Taft Middle School and Harding High School where he graduated from Tri-Rivers Culinary Arts Program in 2007.

CJ had a love for people and embraced life with bravery and persistence. He had a passion for music, skateboarding and art, winning multiple contests and scholarships for his beautiful work. He participated in youth baseball teams, the Marion Midget Football team, and Taft Middle Schools’ football and wrestling teams. CJ was also a member of the Marion Harding High School Orchestra playing string bass, violin and electric bass. He participated in singing in the Battle of the Bands as well.

CJ is survived by mother Elizabeth Ann (Kevin Kermit Lyons) Forman, brother Joshua Ryan Thompson of Chesterville, Ohio, brother Justin Luke (Brittaney Mae) Thompson and niece Ansley Lynn Thompson of Delaware, Ohio, sister Hannah Rachel Lyons of Chesterville, and brother James Kaleb Lyons of Chesterville, Ohio. Also surviving is aunt Patricia Louise Winders of Sacramento, California, uncle James David Forman of Marion, Ohio, uncle John Ray Forman and Aunt Sharon Forman of Belleville, Illinois, uncles Charles Allen Forman and Terry Allen Thompson, and aunt Tabbi Thompson all of Marion, Ohio. His Grandfather Mark Kennedy, aunts Kelly Kennedy and Alice McComas of Caledonia also survive.

CJ is preceded in death by his father Vernon Eugene Thompson, grandfather James Clifford Forman, grandmother Margaret Virginia Forman, grandfather Marvin Butch Thompson, grandmother Carol Elaine Kennedy, uncles Vince and Victor Thompson, aunt Valerie Thompson Brewer, and cousin Mercedes Jade Chapman.

Visitation will be held at Snyder Funeral Homes, Gunder/Hall Chapel (347 W Center St., Marion) on Wednesday June 19, 2019 from 11 until 1pm. A funeral service will be held at 1pm with Chaplain John Ray Forman officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
