Christopher J. Kempton, age 65, of Fredericktown passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at his home.

He was born on November 17, 1955, in Mount Vernon to the late Charles Kempton and Coreta (Small) Ballam.  Christopher was a carpenter and retired in 2015.

He is survived by his wife Mary (Arnold) Ferguson; his brothers Tom (Nasrin) Kempton, John (Missy) Kempton; and his sister Mary Jo Ray.

In addition to his parents, Christopher was preceded in death by his sister Kathleen Noce.

In keeping with Christopher’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.  The family will observe a service at a day and date to be announced.

  • Chris was always good to me and played baseball with my brother Ed Bricker my father helped coach, he was a good player and will be sadly missed. Rip

  • Chris’s mom and my grandparents, Robert and Catherine Dial were friends and Chris made a beautiful shelf for my grandma to put her owls. He was a great craftsman. I’m so sorry for your loss.
