Christie Manor, age 62 of Sunbury died Monday evening, October 25, 2004 at St. Ann’s Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born on January 5, 1942 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Lee Allan of Sunbury and the late Elenora (Sloat) Allan. She moved to Sunbury in 1975 from Michigan. Christie was very proud of her ownership of the Sunberry Antique Mall for 22 years and collected the various items of her trade.
An active member of the Sunbury United Methodist Church, when she was able she crafted the various church banners and costumes. She was the founder and directed the Sunbury Christmas on the Square for 22 years. A former girlscout leader of Troop #345 and artist, she enjoyed needle point, crocheting, and ceramics.
In addition to her father, she is also survived by her husband of 42 years: Cliff, Daughters: Kimberly Manor and her fiancé Chris Vermillion of Hilliard, Jenelle (Osama) Abusamhadanah of Hilliard, and special grandson: Saif, best friends: Tera McCanney and Kathy McDanald.
The family will greet friends Friday morning from 10 – 11:00 a.m. at the Sunbury United Methodist Church, where memorial services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Brian Smith officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury.
