MANSFIELD: Chi Chang, 93, of Lexington Ontario Road, Mansfield, died Thursday evening, May 15, 2008 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a long illness.

He was born February 17, 1915 on the Mainland of China son of Yung-Bin Chang.

On March 8, 1947 he married Yong-Jen Wong, she preceded him in death in 1979.

Chi moved to Taiwan 60 years ago. He spent most of his later life living in California, until this past year, when he moved to Mansfield with his son and daughter-in-law.

Chi worked as chief engineer for Taiwan Shipping, Inc. until his retirement in 1979.

He was a member of Chinese Christian Church in Columbus.

He is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law Daoshen Zhang and Jiyun Zheng of Chengdu, China, Tien Yu and Eleanor Chang of Los Angeles, California, Tien Fu and Mary Chang of Mansfield, Hsin-Han and Carolyn Chang of Taipei, Taiwan, Tien Lu and Kwangtsai Chang of Detroit, Michigan, a daughter and son-in-law Elaine Chang and Mike Ju of San Jose, California; twelve grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 10:30 am in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. Friends may call the hour prior.
