Cheryl P. Clark, age 80, of Sparta, Ohio, died peacefully early Monday morning July 9th, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 24th, 1938 in Lincoln, Illinois, daughter of the late Carl E. and Ines M. (Counsel) Stein.

Cheryl worked for the Fruhauf Trailer Corporation, ran a restaurant in Croton, and served as a bus driver for the Big Walnut School District for many years.

Cheryl loved to cook and vacation with her grandchildren, and to play bingo and cards with her friends. She also enjoyed visiting casinos and playing the slot machines. She was a member of the Eagles Aerie #3614 in Sunbury as well as VFW Post 8736.

Mrs. Clark is survived by son Harlan Clark of Sparta and daughter Theresa Clark- McGlothlin of Mt. Gilead, as well as grandchildren Chalaco Clark, Delishia McGlothlin-Fiedler, Jonnie McGlothlin, Sabrina Clark-Wilson, and Michael Clark, Jr. She is also survived by greatgrandchildren Nikki, Chelsea, Billi Jo, Alexa, Landon, Liam, Sawyer, Cheyenne, Addison, Chal Jr., and Hailey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son Michael Clark.

A Memorial Mass celebrating Cheryl’s life will be conducted on Friday, July 13th, 2018 at 10:30  a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 9633 E. St. Rt. 37, Sunbury, Ohio 43074 Father Homer Blubaugh, Celebrant. Inurnment to follow at a later date in Galena Cemetery. Contributions in Cheryl’s memory may be made to the Ohio Health Hospice, 800 McConnell Dr, Columbus, OH 43214.
