MANSFIELD: Charlotte M. Aninos, of 1049 Springmill Road, Young at Heart Village, Mansfield, died Monday evening July 26, 2004 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born in Detroit, Michigan to Frederick and Charlotte (Hermis) Sass, and spent most of her life in the Utica, Michigan area until moving to Mansfield in 1998.

Predominantly a homemaker, Charlotte assisted her husband in the operation of their agri-business: Shelby Egg Factory, in Utica.

A gifted artist, she was drawn to the beauty in life – from fashion to cosmetics. As an aficionado of the arts, Charlotte loved cinema, theater and music, especially the music of Frank Sinatra.

She’ll be remembered for her keen sense of humor, once describing her “virginal oven” as pristine from non-use.

She is survived by her loving daughters and sons-in-law Sharlene F. and Robert Meservey of Lexington, and Vicki L. and Herbert Friedman of San Diego, California; four grandchildren Jeff Meservey of Mansfield, Marc Meservey of Lexington, Krista and her husband Don DeMarinis of Carmel, Indiana, and Jordan Friedman of San Diego; five great grandchildren Evan and Collin DeMarinis, Alex and Jacob Meservey and Rita Meservey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward C. Aninos in 1973; nine brothers; and a granddaughter-in-law Tamara Meservey in 1996.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 29, 2004 from 6-8 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will immediately follow at 8 pm. The Rev. Larry Mersheron will officiate.

A chapel service will be held Friday at 2 pm in Cadillac Memorial Gardens, Clinton, Michigan.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
