Charlotte L. Worner

BELLVILLE: Charlotte L. Worner, 97, of Bellville passed away in her home Thursday morning September 25, 2008 following an extended illness.
Charlotte was born on November 1, 1910 in Morrow County to Orland and Mattie (Williams) Snavely.
On July 11, 1931 she married John F. Worner.
Charlotte worked as a sales associate at Kobackers in Mansfield and later retired from Gorman Rupp where she worked from 1955 to 1975.
A lifelong area resident, Charlotte was first a member of Palmyra Church of Christ. Later she became active and was a member of the Bellville Church of Christ (currently New Life Church of Christ).
She was a member of the Sunny South Ladies Club, Senior Citizens Center, Genealogy Society, and was a life member of the Jefferson Township Historical Society.
In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She created Christmas ornaments as well as afghans for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Family was her focal point, she researched genealogy through numerous generations-if anyone had family questions they could always turn to Charlotte.
Charlotte is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Jake and Lois Worner of Bellville and Russel and Barbara Worner of Bellville; grandchildren Kelly and Tonya Worner, Kevin Worner, Kennethia Brokaw, Ralph Worner, George Worner, Carol and Keith Bechtel, Joe Worner, and Patty and Ralph Fry; 11 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; sister Harriet Hoeflich of Mansfield, brothers and a sister-in-law Robert and Betty Snavely of Wadsworth, Ralph “Doodle” Snavely of Bellville; special care givers Betty Brumenshenkel, Sandy Miller, and Joan Williams; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband John Worner on January 6, 1968, as well as her brothers and sisters-in-law Joseph and Ruth Snavely, Clarence and Annabell Snavely, and Jake Hoeflich
The Worner Family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Knox County for the care given to their mother.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 28, 2008 from 2-4p.m and 6-8p.m. at the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home where the funeral will be held on Monday at 11a.m. Adam Irwin will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to the Butler Adult Life Center Meals on Wheels Program or the Jefferson Township-Bellville Rescue Squad may be made at the funeral home.
