Charles Thomas Trott

C. Thomas Trott, age 83, of Mansfield, Ohio and formerly of Mount Vernon, passed away on Friday October 31, 2003 at the Lexington Court Nursing Home. He was born on June 12, 1920 in Mount Vernon, Ohio to the late Charles and Emma (Penhorwood) Trott. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Mount Vernon. Mr. Trott retired after thirty years of employment with Continental Can Company and was also employed for several years with First Knox National Bank. Mr. Trott served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II.

He is survived by a son David (Suzie) Ferguson of Mansfield, Ohio, four grandchildren, Jon (Lindsey) Ferguson, Justin Ferguson, Jasen Ferguson, Alexis Ferguson, a sister, Kitty Mullin of Fredericktown and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Nan Trott, two brothers, Cameron Trott, Ralph Samuel Trott, two sisters, Ruth Wells and Betty Doup.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1 PM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home where friends may call one hour prior. Rev. Keith Stuart will be officiating. A private graveside service with military honors provided by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council will be held at a later time in Mound View Cemetery.
