Charles “Teddy” Hess Jr. age 47, of Mount Vernon passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 16, 2016 at his home.  He was born July 21, 1968 in Mount Vernon to Ruth (Stacey) Hess Sigman and the late Charles T. Hess Sr.

Teddy attended Mount Vernon High School.  He was an avid lover of art and music.  He loved arguing with his baby sister and enjoyed rooting on his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.

Teddy is survived by his daughter, Tierra L. Garman and her mother, Linda; his son, Rickie E. Hess and his mother, Lori;  mother, Ruth (Philip) Sigman; sisters, Laura L. (Brian) Chapman and Cristi Wright; multiple step siblings, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Charles Sr., Teddy was preceded in death by brothers, Ronald E. Hess and Rickie L. Hess; paternal grandparents, Clint and Una Hess; maternal grandparents, Clarence Stacey and Helen (Charles) Huffman; and many other family members.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2016 at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 East High St., Mount Vernon with Pastor David Daniels officiating.  A private burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
