Charles Richard “Dick” Eichof

DENVER, CO: Charles Richard Eichof was born February 10th, 1935 in Mansfield to his parents Nick and Leora Eichof. He passed on February 11, 2018 in Denver, Colorado at the age of 83.

Dick served in the United States Marine Corps as a helicopter mechanic and earned the Navy/Marine Corps Medal for heroism in saving fellow Marines from a helicopter crash.  He spent all of his working career as an airplane mechanic and then as a FAA inspector.

Dick was married  to Mary Elizabeth “Bee” Garber until her passing on April 7th of 2015. He enjoyed his many hobbies of woodworking and tinkering in his garage, but especially driving and working on his 1947 Studebaker truck and 1941 Studebaker coupe.

He will be remembered for is quiet thoughtful manner and his love and care for his family, especially his grandsons Max and Nick.

Dick is survived by his daughter Mrs. Kara Beth & Brian Miller of Denver, CO; grandsons, Max Aaron Miller and Nickolas Adair Miller; and his sister Pat & Jim Morehead of Mansfield.

A celebration will take place in Dick’s Honor on Friday June 8th, 2018 at the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, 81 Mill Road.   Visitation will begin at 1:00pm with a service following at 2:00 pm.  Celebrant Dave Roberts will speak and interment will follow Bellville Cemetery.
