Charles Norman Hull, age 73, of Mount Vernon, Ohio passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at his residence.  He was born on September 2, 1947 in Howard, Ohio to the late Paul and Clara (Rice) Hull.

Chuck graduated from East Knox High School and soon after joined the United States Army.  He proudly served his country for 2 years.  Chuck worked at American National Can.  he was a member of the Amvets Post #95 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4027.  Chuck enjoyed woodworking, watching Ohio professional sports, and was an avid Ohio State fan.  Most of all he loved being around his family.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie (Delporte) Hull; daughter, April Hull; grandchild, Nicholas Hull; sisters, Ruth Ann Myer, Paula (Dale) Veatch, Deborah (Roger) Cooper all of Howard, Ohio, Brenda (Craig) Frost of Walhonding, Ohio; a brother, Howard (Linda) Hull of Howard, Ohio; Brother-in-law; Eldon Frye of Howard, Ohio; sister-in-law, Michelle (Del) Brazeal of Skiatook, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Chuck is preceded in death by his sister, Linda Frye.

A private memorial service will be held with family and a celebration of life service will take place at a later date.

  • So sorry to hear about Chuck. Paula and I send our deepest thoughts to Bonnie and the family. Chuck and I grew up on the streets of Howard, Ohio as young boys and later on during high school. I cherish the trips we made to Las Vegas and the memories that we shared.
    We will all miss Chuck’s “ELVIS” imitations. I am proud to call Chuck my friend.

    Very sorry to learn we have lost Chuck Hull. AMVETS 95 will never be the same. He will be missed, I’m sure, by all who knew him. My condolences to his wife and family.
