Charles Neville , 88, of Delaware, formerly of Cardington passed away Monday, April 8th 2019 at the Arbors of Delaware.
Charles was born July 9th, 1930 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, the son of the late Phillip F. & Dorothy (Pearson) Neville.
Charles was a faithful man through and through. After returning home from serving his country in the United States Air Force, he and his brother would go in to nursing homes spreading the gospel, and would continue to do so for 30+ years before his brothers passing. He worked and would later retire from Delco Screw Products in Delaware. He was a 13 year member of the Eastside Mission Church.
He was preceded in death by parents, daughter Carol Neville; brothers Phillip “Sonny”, Jim, Ben, and Frank Neville; sister Barbara Likens, two infant sisters, and brother in-law Harry Long.
Left to cherish his memory are wife of 62 years Barbara Neville; son Mark Neville; daughter Connie Neville; grandchildren Autumn, Kimberly,Heidi, Mark Jr.,Brittany, and Courtney, 13 great grandchildren, sisters Joyce Long, and Mildred Neville ; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Charles enjoyed coaching baseball, he also enjoyed playing softball. He enjoyed fishing, writing down scriptures, preaching, playing guitar, and telling stories.
Rev Donnie Akers will officiate a funeral service 1:00 pm Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the Eastside Mission Church, 32 Joy Avenue , Delaware, Ohio 43015. Family and Friends may call from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed towards Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center to assist the the family with funeral expenses.
