Charles W. “Butch” Garverick, 66, of Galion, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at home, after a brief illness.
Born Dec. 13, 1941 in Galion, he was the son of the late Kenneth Garverick and Etta Mae Gibbins Garverick. He married Debbie Fulton Garverick on June 26, 1992, who survives.
He was a laborer and jack of all trades working for various companies in the Galion area.
Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Joyce and James Lutz and Sharon and Ray Thitoff, all of Bucyrus and Bobbi Garverick and Scott Thompson of Galion; one son, Charles Wayne Garverick of Bucyrus; seven grandchildren, Susanne, Melissa, Holly, Beatrice, Jesse, Shane and Miranda; one great granddaughter, Skylina; two brothers, Howard Stroup and Dick Ruth Garverick, all of Galion and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul, Gene and Harold Stroup.
A memorial service will be held for family and close friends. Arrangements are in the care of Richardson-Davis Funeral Home.
